Yeah, i think it has something to do with the film Kes, it was about a boy who had a bird, i think it was a kestrel though. and his brother ends up shooting it. i think.
It was set in northern england, like morley in leeds. so i think they have just made some totally unconnected link between craig david and the film kes.
the bigger question is, why does Craig David (uk garage sensation) constantly piss himself? and why was his catchphrase in particular chosen as the title of the show?

Oh, so Craiiig Daaavid is from Leeds. I get it now. Hello everyone, another newbie here. Unfortunately Craiiiig might be from leeds, but Craig is from Southampton (how embaressed am I to know that.) So, I guess the link isn't quite so obvious. Short of anyone actually knowing, my guess would be that people with regional accents sometimes sound funny. Most (some?) of the characters have quite strong northern accents. I'm pretty certain that Christina Aguleria doesn't come from Liverpool (but I hear she is quite Deeeerrrrty). So, maybe they were screwing around when writing the program, Leigh did a Leeds accent for Craiiiiig, and someone said "you sound just like that kid in Kes" and from there the idea was born. I dunno. But it's funny. Andy |

The lines he uses for Kes ''come here Kes'' ''here kes'' are exactly the same as the story.
Someone said about Billy's brother killing Kes, thats true, he did kill it.
Sadly I know ''A Kestrel For A Knave'' off by heart...I just did it for GCSE a few weeks ago.
It kind of got me in trouble. We had to read bits of the book out and whenever there was the line ''here kes, here kes'' I cracked up laughing. no one knew why. LOL

A: The real Craig David used to wear these patterned jeans which had a dark area in the crotch which did actually look he'd wet himself. B: I think it comes from when Leigh was doing Craiiig on E4, he just said it all the time and I think it was just a snappy title for a programme |

craig david is the original character, before bo selecta was made ther were 4 characters along with avid, he was then known as celebrity friend (stalker).
craig david-northern accent
britney spears-northern accent
eminem-geordie accent
sting-scottish accent
craig has become the main focus of the show and britney spears makes the odd appearance, but the best characters were eminem and sting, in bo selecta eminem has a different mask than the old one and does not speak with a geordie accent, sting does not appear at all, the voice used for sting has been taken by lorrain (can you see my growler) kelly, so i cant see the old sting coming back. if anyone saw the original sting you will understand when i say " i f**kin love trees, i do, i do do do" imagine the voice of lorraine kelly saying that phrase. lol makes me laugh.

Yeah, i remember the original series. I think avid had a different beard then, and craig david's main catchphrase was "look at the size of me fukk off chin" i seem to remember, he may have had others but i was laughing so hard at that one that i missed the others.
It was only a segment of a comedy show wasnt it? 'show me the funny', for some reason i think it was all different comedians doing stuff. dunno. maybe im wrong.
I dont remember Craig Daaviid having Kes back then either.

Yea he was on show me the funny which i never saw but i vaguleuy rember seeing some masks stuff when they were showing clips from upcoming e4 shows on e4s opening night itd be good if they repeated it, also ive read he used to be on whatever i want or whatever you want something like that.
